DESCRIPTION:
 
Reporting to the Product Marketing Team Lead, the Marketing Budget Controller will play a key role in supporting all budget needs for the laptop, desktop, phone and all-in-one PC portfolios.  You will be tasked with ensuring that the Marketing team has access to budget and partner funding in a timely manner, as well as managing partner funding compliance and the partner funding claiming process. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all team members understand the budgeting and partner funding program requirements.
 
Responsibilities
 
The responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 
  • Lead financial analysis and support of US Marketing Team  
  • Analyze and optimize Marketing investment by segment. 
  • Manage the US Marketing budget process, ensuring complete accuracy of budget allocations, maximizing partner funding utilization, controlling overall spend and finalizing allocations by deadlines.
  • Lead communication and vendor funding management (application & claims) with key partner funding programs (ex. Microsoft Jumpstart, Intel CCF, NVIDIA MDF, etc.) and train the extended Marketing team on program requirements, processes, and deadlines. 
  • The individual will be responsible for annual planning, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual management reports that compare actual results to forecasts.  
  • Support team with dispute reconciliation with accounting and finance within US and HQ team. 
 
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Well-developed analytical skills and the ability to grasp and explain complex situations and issues.
  • Team player with ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders and build business partnerships.
  • Ability to adapt to a demanding, rapidly changing work environment and to handle numerous duties, manage budgets, balance ongoing requests, set priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented and excellent attention to detail.
  • Positive, results-oriented attitude and a love of learning new things.
  • Strong presentation and written and verbal communication skills are a must.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, Google for Work, and project management tools.
  • Fluent in English
Required Experience
  • 1-3 years of budget/project management experience
  • Experience with consumer electronics partner funding programs is a strong asset.
Required Professional Designation/Certification
  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline required.
