Description

This position is primarily responsible for helping plan, select, coordinate and implement Design Build related policies, programs, and practices that support and advance the Company’s long-term business objectives. In this role you will:

  • Work as a Team Partner in selecting and managing Architect Engineers (AEs). Support world-wide ECC projects, in the Proposal Stage of projects by leading the design team in developing Conceptual Designs.
  • Establish effective Communication and Cooperation between the ECC team, A/Es and construction sub-contractors.
  • Once projects are won and awarded manage the design process to ensure project meets client requirements, is within budget/awarded scope and stays on schedule.
  • Lead the design team work as a cohesive partner in Design Build projects. 
  • Support world-wide ECC projects, in the Proposal Stage of projects by leading the design team in developing Conceptual Designs.

  • Proactively engage Project Managers (PM) in the design process and manage A/E firms
  • Ensure that project scope, requirements, budgetary parameters, and desired outcomes are accurately communicated to A/E firms and related sub consultants
  • Lead scheduled reviews of design documents to verify compliance and adherence to project plans
  • Coordinate architectural and engineering related project milestones and deliverables with assigned Project Manager
  • Provide expertise and counsel in supporting project staff regarding questions or problems related to architectural and engineering design
  • In addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position
  • Under general guidance, lead the design process on DB programs and participate in the full lifecycle of ECC business from Business development/ marketing through execution
  • Support development of standard procedures and policies
Requirements:

  • Provide strong leadership in dealing with complex scenarios
  • Share & apply knowledge of standards, codes, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Share & apply strong knowledge of complex scientific and engineering principles, construction techniques, analytical tools, and innovative technologies
  • Apply strong knowledge in design and implementation of engineering and construction processes and technologies
  • Lead design concept development and/or design team to achieve desired objectives, scope, schedule, and construction cost
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office products, email systems, and Windows
  • Increase effectiveness of products and services through value enhancement, system optimization, and other technical strategies
  • Monitor and assess system performance/ field progress
  • Work effectively within the corporate landscape and build departmental alliances
  • Seven to ten years of progressively responsible professional experience performing engineering and design & construction support services for structures and facilities
  • Education This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Design, Engineering or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement. • Registration in relevant field (Professional Engineer – PE or Registered Architect – RA)
  • Previous Government contract experience
