ZoomCare is seeking a Business Analyst - Healthcare Operations Reporting to join our team! The Business Analyst - Healthcare Operations Reporting is responsible for designing, developing, and configuring reports from multiple healthcare and business applications, including EHR systems, to support the decision-making process within large urgent and primary care operations. You will be responsible for data analysis, reporting, and supporting healthcare operations. You will focus on delivering actionable insights to improve patient outcomes, enhance clinical quality, increase operational efficiency, and drive financial performance.

  • Collaborate with healthcare operations teams, including Clinical and Business Leadership, to understand and assess reporting needs, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Design, develop, and configure comprehensive reports from multiple healthcare applications (e.g., Athena, patient-facing systems, billing) to provide actionable insights into clinic operations, marketing, and business performance.
  • Ensure all reports are accurate, timely, and reflective of the organization's strategic goals, driving data-informed decision-making.
  • Analyze data from diverse sources to identify key trends, patterns, and opportunities for operational improvement, enhancing business and clinic performance.
  • Serve as primary data custodian, granting and revoking access to reports.
  • Develop and maintain proficiency with advanced analytic, database tools and in-house data.
  • Use data visualization software (E.g, Tableau, Cognos, Pentaho etc) to analyze and communicate complex data and information clearly and efficiently to users.
  • Design views and customized reports for each user level.
  • Scrub and organize data to ensure that data sources can be joined together and inappropriate data is dropped for the queries. 
  • Ensure reports are built in a way so as to maximize the user’s ability to independently answer multiple questions from a single view. 
  • Serve on interdepartmental project teams for new application implementations, ensuring data standards are consistent with the overall reporting and analytics strategy.  
  • Lead internal data analysis projects and develop interactive reports and dashboards.
  • Create clear, visually engaging dashboards and visualizations to present complex data in an easily digestible and actionable format for stakeholders.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve clinic performance, patient satisfaction, and financial outcomes, supporting continuous improvement.
  • Partner closely with Clinical and Business Leadership to understand their data requirements, delivering tailored tools and reports to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff, ensuring they can effectively interpret and leverage reports for operational enhancements.
  • Maintain, update, and refine existing reports as necessary to reflect current operational realities, compliance standards, and evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that all reporting processes adhere to HIPAA and other relevant healthcare regulations, prioritizing compliance and patient confidentiality.
  • Implement data governance best practices to safeguard the integrity, confidentiality, and security of patient and operational data.

QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
  • This is a remote position but at this time you must be located in Oregon or Washington State.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Building reports, Data warehouse, ETL, data curation and presentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience with EHR systems, particularly Athena, and other healthcare applications integrated with Enterprise applications.
  • Proven ability to work with large datasets and complex reporting environments.

  • Salary Range: $95,000 - $105,000 dependent on experience 
 
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Project timelines and work volume / deadlines may often require more than your scheduled hours per week or work outside of regular business hours to complete essential duties of this job.
  • This position requires remote work and being able to collaborate with teams to accomplish assigned tasks.
