The Opportunity
PRIME Education, a property of Everyday Health Group, is seeking a Manager, Education & Research Strategy, to serve as a catalyst for identifying, developing, and advancing business relationships to support PRIME’s growth strategy. In this role, the successful candidate will create new business opportunities by researching the latest developments in the assigned therapeutic areas, identify gaps responsible for variations in care aligned with supporter objectives, and build relationships with new and current supporters. To effectively identify new opportunities and prepare for supporter meetings, you will monitor recent developments in the pharmaceutical and health care industries, connect with expert health care providers in the assigned therapeutic areas, and review insights from past PRIME programs. You will partner closely with PRIME’s Scientific Affairs team and other internal stakeholders to strategize on potential grant opportunities.
The Manager, Education & Research Strategy will remain the primary point of contact for supporters post grant approval, as well. In this capacity, you will provide regular updates and insights from the program and present interim and final outcomes reports. When doing so, you will present the impact of the program against original learning and program objectives, insights generated to inform barriers to optimal care delivery and solutions to address persistent gaps through subsequent programs. In this external-facing role, the Manager, Education & Research Strategy must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate PRIME’s differentiators, expertise and proven track record of improving care delivery. You must also be a self-starter, resourceful and motivated to do the necessary research, analysis and stakeholder engagement to prepare for supporter meetings for new and existing programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve or exceed the assigned annual grant award goal
- Stay up to date on the latest developments in the pharmaceutical and health care industries
- Become an expert in the assigned therapeutic areas through research, discussions with key opinion leaders, and reviewing PRIME’s past programs
- Understand and articulate PRIME’s differentiators and experience in the assigned therapeutic areas
- Evaluate outcomes data from past programs to inform persistent gaps that warrant targeted educational interventions
- Prepare presentations for supporter meetings
- Track and report on active opportunities through pipeline reports
- Drive internal and external discussions on new grant opportunities
- Collaborate with the Scientific Affairs team and other departments on designing innovative grant proposals that target supporter’s areas of interest
- Lead weekly meetings for updates on new or existing programs
- Actively manage supporter relationships from pre-submission to the conclusion of the program
- Maintain ongoing compliant dialogue with supporters and industry stakeholders to achieve goals regarding education and research-informed continuing education
- Identify and conduct outreach to new prospective supporters
- Attend industry events to prospect new supporters and stay up to date on the latest developments in your therapeutic area(s)
Job Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (focus in health care preferred, but not required)
- Prior experience in business development roles, with an ability to build relationships and identify opportunities
- Prior experience in health care. Understanding of the health care industry - therapy development/approval, effectiveness studies/processes, health care policy
- Excellent command of the English language (verbal and writing) with high articulation and communication skills
- Excellent writing and reporting skills, with ability to synthesize and communicate complex information in a concise and easy to understand manner
- Excellent organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
- Proficient in PowerPoint
- Motivated, self-starter
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to travel nationwide, when required
