The Opportunity
Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy and Leadership - Develop, lead, and communicate a clear product strategy and vision for IGN's large portfolio of digital platforms and products, ensuring that it coincides with the company's goals and objectives.
- Product Roadmap - Define and maintain the product roadmap for multiple products, ensuring it aligns with business priorities, user needs, and market trends. Make data-driven decisions and prioritize features accordingly.
- Product Development - Oversee the end-to-end product development process, from conceptualization to release. Coordinate with development teams to deliver high-quality products on schedule.
- Project Management - Define and prioritize product features, enhancements, and requirements based on customer feedback, market research, and business impact.
- Product Launch - Plan and implement successful product launches, including marketing strategies and user communication. Monitor product performance post-launch and iterate based on user feedback.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, editorial, and marketing, to ensure successful product development and delivery.
- Partner Communication - Keep collaborators informed about the status of ongoing projects, turning points, and potential roadblocks. Maintain visibility and ensure alignment with business goals, overall product strategy, and the product roadmap.
- User Research - Conduct, analyze, and engage with user feedback/research to gain insight into our user needs, preferences, concerns, and difficulties. Use this data to inform product decisions and improvements.
- User Experience (UX) - Work with UX/UI designers to create user-friendly and visually appealing products. Ensure a seamless and engaging user experience across IGN's digital platforms.
- Data Analysis - Apply data analytics and key performance indicators to supervise product performance, identify areas for improvement, and make decisions to optimize the product.
- Market and Competitive Analysis - Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape to find opportunities and threats in the market, ensuring that our products remain innovative.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience of 3-5 years working on technology-powered products as either a product manager, product designer, engineer, data analyst, data scientist, or user researcher
- Solid understanding of digital media platforms, technologies, and industry trends.
- Shown ability of building intuitive content management systems that meet both internal and external customer needs
- Experience in building subscription based products with a track record of driving growth
- Led product development on sophisticated features from 1st to Nth interaction
- A history of deep, and demonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery
- Proven track record to determine solutions to hard problems with many constraints, using sound judgment to assess risks, and give recommendations in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrative.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to aid in collaborations with engineers, designers, and company leaders

- Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, M-F. There is no expectation for this role to work weekends, holidays, or odd hours.
- Travel Requirements: No travel is required for this role.
- Physical Requirements: This role involves standard office-based activities, including extended periods of sitting, standing, and working at a computer.
- Work Model: For applicants who reside in or around Los Angeles, New York, or London, there may be a requirement to go into our offices 2-3 days per week. For others located in different areas around the world, this position will be remote.
