Description

Xcelerate Solutions is seeking a Configuration Manager who will work with the DHS Federal Protective Service (FPS) to support the full design, development, integration, testing, training, and deployment of an agency-wide, automated revenue management system (RMS) to increase operational efficiencies, improve data quality and reporting, and develop business intelligence and customer service capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the analysis and management of all system changes
  • Identify and document system capabilities and service level availability
  • Conduct and document process compliance analysis and audit results
  • Track and ensure compliance to policies and procedures; resolving or escalating any compliance issues
  • Assist in creation, maintenance, and reporting of metrics in alignment to service level improvements
  • Assist with review and impact analysis of change requests and maintain configuration documents
  • Provide recommendations for improvement or use of specific methodologies and toolsets for enforcement of change control objectives
  • Participate in agile sprints to understand, identify, refine, and document requirements for the RMS
  • Participate in sprint planning reviews with stakeholders
  • Support implementation of SecDevOps practices to increase the integrity, reliability, and security of the RMS
  • Other duties as assigned; associated with and/or in support of your primary role or program mission

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have or be able to obtain a Public Trust suitability determination
  • Active DHS clearance is strongly desirable 
  • Must have 1+ years’ experience in software configuration management
  • Must have 1+ years’ experience in Agile software development
  • Must have experience implementing project management principles and managing, tracking, and coordinating a wide range of actions, documents, and tasks through completion.
  • Strong preference for demonstrated experience in supporting CM of financial or revenue management software and/or applications
  • Must have experience using common CM project tracking systems such as Confluence and JIRA.
  • Must have experience with Git
  • Must have exposure to and understanding of Kubernetes
  • Must have experience in technical writing and documentation of complex technical concepts.
  • Strongly desired experience working within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) IT space
  • Strongly desired experience and understanding of DHS Enterprise Architecture and Federal Information System Security standards
