Weston has an opportunity for a Client Account Director to help expand our municipal water and wastewater engineering practice in the San Antonio area. This position will serve as the client lead for San Antonio Water System (SAWS), with responsibility for winning new work, mentoring staff, and growing the SAWS account. We currently have six SAWS contracts with a backlog of $1M+.

 

This client-focused seller role requires demonstrated business development experience in municipal water/wastewater design services in the San Antonio area. The candidate will lead long-term client relationships, build the contract sales pipeline, partner with operations to deliver high-quality projects, and help grow the teams needed to provide exceptional client value. This role supports Weston’s growth strategy to expand its municipal water/wastewater portfolio and requires existing relationships with municipalities and cities. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong client insight, communication, business development, and project management skills. Only candidates with a Texas Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and the required experience will be considered. Three independent references verifying experience will be requested.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, chemical, environmental, or mechanical engineering
  • Current Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Texas
  • 20+ years of water/wastewater engineering design experience
  • 10+ years in strategic business development leadership with established municipal client relationships
  • Municipal wastewater collection/treatment design experience and relationships in San Antonio and surrounding municipalities
  • Demonstrated selling and proposal development success with local clients
  • Strong drive to engage client organizations and win new contracts
  • Excellent communication skills, including technical presentations
  • Ability to recruit, build, mentor, and lead an engineering team

  • Capture $3M+ in annual gross sales for new wastewater design work

  • Comply with and implement company business practices in a timely manner
  • Maintain a Texas Professional Engineer license throughout employment

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.

 

Salary Range: $141,038 - $186,935 - $232,937
