Tribalco is seeking a QA/QC Lead who will be responsible for ensuring that the quality management system (QMS) is fully implemented in an organized and efficient manner. The QA/QC Lead is responsible for reviewing and revising contract deliverables.  The QA/QC Lead will work with the Technical Lead with delegating and assigning tasks to QA/QC Supervisors and working closely with related engineering, construction, procurement, and other departments within the contract.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee project quality to ensure compliance to codes, standards, regulations, equipment specific specifications, and QMS requirements.
  • Advancing quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
  • Managing the development and implementation of the QMS for planning, designing, inspection, documentation, and operations activities including:
    • Planning duties within the QA/QC staff and related work schedules.
    • Establishing service standards for end users (i.e., internal department or external customer);
    • Providing leadership and guidance on all QA/QC matters.
  • Taking full responsibility for hold-point releases once all QMS functions have been completed and the equipment is ready to go into the next work stage.
  • Developing and implementing risk-based inspection (RBI) activities and processes, using API 580 and other similar programs to develop internal standard practices.
  • Managing plant integrity through a failure analysis reporting system and following up on recommendations.
  • Oversee supervision of all visual inspections, including 3rd party subcontractors.
  • Managing inspection and testing plans for new installations for TR, ISP, OASP, AV/VTC, wireless, and VOIP. 
  • Identify and develop solutions to correct inspection function deficiencies.

 

Desired Skills

 

  • Recommend at least 7 years’ experience reviewing / revising contract deliverables
  • Advanced ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, with all internal organization departments, suppliers, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Strong coordination and organization skills, with strict emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience in shutdown planning and execution.
  • Ability to develop and manage non-conformance, deficiencies, and reporting programs, including root cause analysis.
  • Experience in developing and monitoring of project QA/QC budgets.
  • Ability to ensure correct codes, standards, job specifications, project procedures, federal and provincial regulations are properly identified, correctly specified in detail, and met or exceeded.
  • Must have the ability to work within strict deadlines and under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Coordinate with quality inspections with all the site sub-contractors and vendors coordinate all non-destructive testing on site
  • Coordinate with the customers representative on all quality matters
  • Coordinate all receipt inspections
  • Distribute relevant QA/QC documentation to site subcontractors
  • Verify that the quality related site activities are IAW with the applicable codes and standards
  • Participate in the site internal and external site audits
  • Coordinate all the quality site inspections through the site QC inspectors
  • Ensure all quality control documentation is compiled and competed for as-built hand over through the QC turnover engineer
  • Control all nonconformance reports and undertake remedial action
  • Compete site quality control instructions and action remedial responses
  • Review the customers specification and undertake relevant training to the site QC inspector
  • Monitor the implementation of the approved site QC Plan
  • Complete and coordinate the approval of the sites QC technical submittals to the customer
  • Coordinate with the site construction manager on all quality issues Coordinate and chair the QA/QC site weekly meetings with the project’s subcontractors QC personnel
  • Elaborating inspection and test programs
  • Ensure the safety is adhered to at site
  • Assure all technical documents relative to site quality control are current status Analyze risks and opportunities
  • Oversee project procurement management
  • Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise
  • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants
  • Work with the Project Manager to eliminate blockers

 

 

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration / Management or related Technical Field
  • PMP

 

Clearance

  • Position requires that candidate possess a final security clearance in order to access classified information.  Inability to maintain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position.
  • US citizenship is typically required for a security clearance
