SDR/FPGA Software Engineer

Tribalco is seeking a self-starting, mission driven, detail-oriented SDR/FPGA Software Engineer to join our development team to provide mission critical technical solutions to the United States Defense and National Security communities. Must work well in a small team fast paced development environment.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain software that generates and processes signals to/from software defined radios (SDRs)
- Program embedded systems (FPGA and SoCs)
Desired Skills
The position requires proficiency and experience with the following technology areas and systems:
- Basic familiarity with RF and RF modulation techniques
- Agile SW Development and Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD)
- Git and Azure Dev Ops
- C, C++
- Ability to program hardware at a low level
- Familiarity with scripting language like Python
- Able to understand MATLAB simulations of an algorithm and convert to HDL
- Software Defined Radios (SDRs), and frameworks such as GNURadio
Education and Certifications
- 5 years professional Software Engineering Experience in designing, developing, and testing common embedded architectures and real-time systems
- 3 years VHDL or Verilog, and FPGA programming experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related subject area from accredited college or university, or equivalent experience/combined education.
Clearance
- An active Secret Security Clearance is required. w/ the ability to obtain a TS Clearance.
- TS Clearance is a plus
