The ideal candidate must be able to effectively engage in customer discussions and discover customer needs and requirements to then be able to provide design engineering capabilities and set solutions that will satisfy our customers technical objectives and goals through a comprehensive technical solution. We want an individual who is collaborative and desires to be a team member who is willing to share technical experiences. This person needs to also be willing and able to travel for short periods of time.

 

  • Engineer a wide range of wireless communications system solutions including wireless mesh/MIMO networks, microwave backhaul solutions, point-to-point mm wave systems, private/commercial 4G LTE/5G, LMR systems, and other emerging technologies;
  • Familiarity with various video surveillance systems and video management systems, and integrating into wireless and mesh networks;
  • Serve as a subject matter expert regarding telecommunication system installation, troubleshooting and maintenance for the surveillance program networks.
  • Review and prepare documents/architectural drawings for executive approval and distribution of voice, data, and video systems.
  • Prepare briefing materials for leadership to ensure successful engagements with stakeholders.
  • Conduct feasibility studies; identifying solutions; and presenting recommendations to management.
  • Familiarity with multi-site telecommunications network infrastructure including antenna site design, construction, maintenance and management
  • Develop system design documentation, including technical approach narratives, bills of materials (BOMs), and level of effort estimates for installation and deployment of systems. Must also be comfortable with developing system staging, deployment, and testing plans.
  • Work with business development and project managers to ensure proper solution delivery and be a representative of the technical team in customer meetings.
  • Articulate to customers capabilities of wireless technology and supporting elements of network infrastructure.
  • Be an escalation point for challenging technical issues.

Minimum Qualifications

Highly proficient:

 

  • Verbal and written communication skills, with strong focus on detail and very strong, proven ability to multitask
  • Developing and producing solution architecture designs and drawings; detailed bill-of-materials; system design plans and design review documentation; and test and installation plans.
  • Writing proposals, developing Basis of estimates, and supporting pre-sales by identifying and qualifying opportunities.
    • Comprehensive understanding of LMR trunked and conventional systems
    • Comprehensive understanding of various wireless backhaul solutions to include microwave, mm wave, mesh, and cellular wireless technologies
    • Experience with performing radio signal propagation studies and producing coverage plots, preferably HTZ Warfare/ATDI
    • Extensive experience designing/operating:
  • Two-way radio systems and infrastructure
  • RF test equipment (i.e. service monitors, spectrum analyzers, watt meters)
  • Customer focused with an ability to maintain relationships and resolve conflicts

 

Education and Certifications

• Bachelor of Science – Electrical/Electronic/Communication/Network Systems

   Engineering or related/equivalent field of study

• 10+ years of RF Engineering

• 10+ years of telecom experience and background

• 10+ years of client-facing technical role and experience communicating executives

Security Clearance

Must successfully pass an FBI National Criminal History Check to obtain credentials for access to customer facilities, when required, and a Medium Background Investigation (MBI) security clearance.

Must be a US Citizen
