Tribalco is seeking a Telecommunications Specialist to join our rapidly growing team. Under general supervision, the job of the Telecommunications Specials with main focus on the Cisco Unified Suite entails the configuration, installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of electronic telephone system and VoIP with other related tools and equipment. Consults with other officers in providing communication services and other related training. The Telecommunications Specials plans and creates changes in the systems as performs other related tasks and duties required.
Responsibilities
- Administration and configuration of Cisco Unified Communication Manager, Cisco Unity Connection, Cisco Meeting Server and Cisco Emergency Responder. Version 12.5.x.
- Administration and configuration of Cisco voice gateways and Cisco Media gateways.
- Installation, troubleshoot, repair and maintenance of telephones, electronic switching systems and other related equipment to include but limited to Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) environment.
- Knowledge of vSphere client, vCenter and management of ESXi.
- Knowledge of VoIP Codec, Session Boarder Controller (SBC) and Cisco Unified Boarder Element (CUBE).
- Operates, adds and edits data entry, devise reports, and maintain cable plant, inventory, work orders, call record, billing and other related information in a telephone management system such as Configuration Accounting Information Retrieval System (CAIRS).
- Consults with other customers to meet their phone system requirements.
- Ability to open trouble ticket with Cisco TAC and PSTN provide (30th, RCCP, DISA) troubleshoot and resolve problems.
- Configures/programs user-facing features (UFF). Examples of UFFs include the following:
- Privacy, Enable/Disable
- Do Not Disturb, Enable/Disable (DND)
- Extension Mobility Login (EM)
- Device Mobility
- Provide all Unified Capabilities system features; for example, voice mail, call forwarding, call pickup, hunt group, speed calling, caller ID, and other phone-supported features.
- Give relevant training in the operation of telephone to users.
- Coordinates phone service in with other support elements such as networks, help desk, and cable plant.
- Operates automated / computerized phone management as well as control system software in order to correct problems and impose changes on the systems.
- Evaluate requirement for changes on the program and create management reports.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Desired Skills
- Ability to relocate and reside at the U.S. Army Garrison – Kwajalein Atoll in the Republic of the Marshall Islands (USAG-KA).
- Must possess a valid U.S. passport.
- Pre-employment health screening is required due to remote location and limited medical and dental capabilities on the island.
- Ability to ride a bicycle or walk at least 2 miles to/from work daily. There are no personally owned vehicles allowed on USAG-KA. Transportation is primarily by bicycle.
- Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift 30lbs to waist height.
- Ability to travel by plane or small sea going vessel between working locations.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines while actively documenting all work performed in Army ticketing system. Able to take proactive measures to prevent problems rather than reactive by nature.
- Team player willing to work closely with all echelons of the Army Enterprise.
- May be required to work overtime. Rotational call back and emergency duty are requirements of this position.

Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science related field.
- 4 years’ relevant experience in maintenance, installation and operations of phone communications systems, tools, and equipment.
- Minimum of journeyperson’s experience with telephone management systems.
- DoD 8570.01m-IAT-II certification.
- Cisco Unified Capabilities/Certified Network Engineer.
- CCNA certification highly recommended.
Clearance
- Position requires that candidate possess a Secret security clearance in order to access classified information. Inability to maintain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position.
- US Citizenship is typically required for a security clearance.
