The Senior Vice President will be responsible for closely supporting the Client Relationship Leader to drive interwoven programs focused on supporting clients across a growing client portfolio. The role suits a senior professional who thrives in a hands-on agency environment, enjoys direct client engagement, and wants to contribute to both client impact and firm growth.
We are looking for a senior professional to lead strategy and execution for corporate, program, and product communications spanning late-stage development through commercialization. Work across high-visibility therapeutic areas, partnering closely with clients on media relations, milestone communications, and brand positioning.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as primary day-to-day client lead for PR and corporate communications programs
- Develop and execute strategies for press releases, messaging, media materials, and presentations
- Support communications around clinical data, regulatory milestones, and product launches
- Monitor industry news and identify proactive opportunities
- Manage workflows, timelines, and quality control
- Contribute to business development and firm growth initiatives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing support.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of client projects.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, providing guidance and support to foster their career development and growth within Spectrum.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- 10–15+ years life science/pharma/biotech PR experience, agency preferred
- Experience with late-stage clinical programs and early commercial launches
- Knowledge of regulatory processes, advisory committees, and corporate communications
- Prior experience working in oncology and/or immunology
- Exceptional writing, editing, and client-facing skills
- Highly organized, proactive, with an entrepreneurial mindset and commitment to client confidentiality
- Medical meeting and event support
- Oversight of websites, graphics, and core communications assets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
The anticipated salary range for this position will be $180,000-$225,000. Salary is based on job-related factors such as: years of relevant experience, qualifications and/or certifications. Spectrum reserves the right to modify this pay range at any given time.
