Spectrum is seeking an experienced product commercialization and business leadership executive to serve as the day-to-day business owner for Spectrum's enterprise platform and product portfolio.
Reporting to the EVP, Operations & Transformation, this leader will be accountable for commercial strategy, client adoption, market validation, product portfolio management, and long-term value creation. The role will initially focus on Spectrum's clinical trial recruiting business and client engagements, with responsibility expanding to support enterprise-wide product adoption and commercialization across the organization as the product evolves.
This individual will operate at the intersection of product, technology, commercial strategy, and client engagement. They will lead senior client conversations, shape and sell the product vision internally and externally, build commercialization and go-to-market strategies, and ensure product investments are tied to measurable business outcomes.
Success in this role requires a rare combination of client-facing executive presence, product commercialization expertise, operational rigor, and technology fluency. The ideal candidate can build business cases, evaluate investment tradeoffs, develop pricing and monetization strategies, drive adoption, and confidently engage clients and internal teams around the future of AI-enabled products and platforms.
This role partners closely with Product, Engineering, Client Service, and Executive Leadership teams. While not responsible for software delivery execution, this leader is expected to be highly hands-on in developing commercialization plans, adoption strategies, business cases, and investment recommendations that drive enterprise growth.
Key Responsibilities
Product Portfolio Strategy & Business Ownership
- Serve as the accountable business owner for product commercialization, adoption, and value realization
- Define long-term product platform strategy and product portfolio direction
- Establish enterprise product investment priorities aligned to business objectives and market opportunity
- Balance competing client, business, and platform needs while maintaining a clear long-term product vision
- Partner with executive leadership on portfolio and investment decisions
Client Engagement & Market Leadership
- Lead senior client conversations related to product strategy, innovation, and product adoption
- Articulate and sell Spectrum's product vision internally and externally
- Participate in strategic client engagements, business development opportunities, and new business pursuits
- Build confidence and alignment among clients, partners, and internal stakeholders around the product roadmap and long-term vision
- Translate technical capabilities into compelling business outcomes and client value
Commercialization, Go-to-Market, & Adoption
- Develop and execute commercialization strategies for product capabilities and future product offerings
- Build go-to-market plans that drive client adoption, revenue growth, and measurable business impact
- Define pricing, packaging, monetization, and value realization frameworks
- Create adoption strategies that accelerate client engagement and long-term platform utilization
- Develop revenue, growth, and expansion models supporting product investments
- Propositions
Business Cases & Investment Governance
- Develop business cases supporting platform investments and product expansion opportunities
- Evaluate ROI, expected returns, and investment tradeoffs across the portfolio
- Build financial models and investment frameworks that inform strategic decisions
- Recommend investment priorities based on market opportunity, client demand, and expected business value
- Ensure product investments are linked to measurable economic and operational outcomes
Market Intelligence & Strategic Growth
- Assess market demand and evolving client needs
- Monitor competitive and technology landscapes, including emerging AI-enabled products and platforms
- Identify opportunities for differentiated growth, expansion, and commercialization
- Evaluate new offerings and strategic opportunities that strengthen the product portfolio
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Client Service, Operations, and Executive Leadership teams
- Align commercialization, adoption, and product priorities across stakeholders
- Drive decisions through influence, collaboration, and data-driven recommendations
- Ensure long-term product strategy supports Spectrum's enterprise growth objectives
Requirements & Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in product management, product commercialization, go-to-market strategy, business leadership, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience bringing products, technology-enabled offerings, platforms, or new commercial services to market.
- Proven experience developing commercialization strategies, go-to-market plans, adoption programs, pricing models, monetization approaches, ROI analyses, and business cases.
- Strong client-facing executive presence with the ability to lead senior stakeholder discussions, shape strategy, and sell a vision internally and externally.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire confidence, influence executive stakeholders, and rally clients, partners, and internal teams around a product vision.
- Technology and AI fluency, with the ability to understand emerging technologies, engage credibly with technical teams, ask the right questions, and translate technical capabilities into business value. Hands-on coding experience is not required.
- Experience commercializing, implementing, or scaling AI-enabled products, platforms, automation solutions, or technology-driven offerings preferred.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives spanning product, commercial, operations, client service, and technical teams.
- Strong analytical, financial, and strategic planning skills, including investment prioritization and business case development.
- Ability to operate as both a strategic leader and a hands-on builder in a fast-paced environment.
- Healthcare, life sciences, agency, or clinical trial recruitment experience preferred.
The anticipated salary range for this position will be $220,000-$240,000. Salary is based on job-related factors such as: years of relevant experience, qualifications and/or certifications. Spectrum reserves the right to modify this pay range at any given time.
