Position Summary

The BC Implementation Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating the successful delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations for clients in the construction industry. This role focuses on project management, subject matter expertise, solution design oversight, and client engagement. The Implementation Manager ensures that construction-specific requirements are understood, accurately configured, and effectively deployed to support job costing, project financials, subcontractor management, and field operations.

What will you do in this role?

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of BC implementations across the construction vertical.
  • Work with our PMO team to build effective project plans, manage timelines, identify risks, and ensure deliverables are met for the client implementation
  • Coordinate work across cross-functional teams (functional consultants, developers, QA, and support).
  • Monitor project budgets and scope, ensuring alignment with SOWs.
  • Facilitate status meetings, issue tracking, and project documentation.
  • Serve as the primary functional authority ensuring solutions align with construction industry workflows.
  • Guide discovery sessions to gather requirements for:
    • Job costing & WIP
    • Progress billing / AIA billing
    • Subcontractor management & compliance
    • Change orders
    • Procurement, materials handling, and equipment usage
    • Time entry and field reporting workflows
  • Validate configuration decisions and ensure alignment with best practices.
  • Review and approve solution designs, functional specs, and testing plans.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout implementation.
  • Lead workshops, design reviews, demos where your SME experience is needed, and training activities as required.
  • Build strong client relationships, manage expectations, and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Support change management planning and end-user readiness.
  • Partner with Sales for scoping support, level-of-effort estimation, and pre-sales discovery.
  • Coordinate with development teams to address customizations, integrations, and construction ISV solutions
  • Support smooth handoff to post-go-live support teams.

 

What do you need to succeed in this role?

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent industry experience, preferably in a professional services or management consulting firm 
  • 7+ years of ERP implementation experience, ideally with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central/NAV.
  • Strong experience and understanding of construction industry processes, including job cost accounting, billing, subcontracting, and project financial controls.
  • Demonstrated experience managing ERP or construction software projects
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to translate complex construction workflows into system requirements and configurations.
  • Solid organizational skills and detail orientation.
  • Experience with BC construction ISVs
  • PMP, CAPM, or Agile/Scrum certification, a plus
  • Experience working with AIA billing, retainage, union payroll, or multi-entity operations.

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the midpoint of the base salary range for this role is $147,900. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, and geographic location.
