The Integration Engineer Role

The Workflow Automation development team is seeking an Integration Engineer to enhance our Qlik Application Automation product. This role is critical for developing connectivity to external 
applications, ensuring seamless integration and automation within Qlik Sense Cloud. With a robust suite of over 80 connectors, the Integration Engineer will help expand this portfolio, addressing the growing need for comprehensive, third-party application integration. The successful candidate will tackle the challenges of building and maintaining these connections, enabling our customers to orchestrate their workflows efficiently and effectively.

•  Become an expert in Qlik Application Automation and Qlik Sense, focusing on advanced external connectivity and API integrations.
•  Design and create connectors, configure endpoint blocks, implement pagination, and develop PHP scripts, directly impacting enterprise customers.
•  Work with over 80 external API connectors, research platforms like CRM systems and AI/ML 
platforms and broaden your technical skills.
•  Maintain and improve existing connectors while developing new ones, solving complex integration challenges and staying updated with the latest in API development.
•  Enhance customer automation and workflow orchestration within Qlik Sense Cloud, improving customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:

•  Deepen your expertise in Qlik Application Automation and Qlik Sense, focusing on external 
connectivity to solve complex integration challenges and enhance customer workflows.
•  Create and configure connectors using various authentication types, HTTP methods, pagination, and PHP scripts, improving our integration solutions' functionality and performance.
•  Maintain and improve our suite of over 80 external API connectors, contributing to the expansion of our connector suite for enterprise customers.
•  Gain proficiency in Qlik's APIs, including Qlik Sense, Qlik AutoML, and Qlik Talend Data 
Integration, positioning yourself as a key resource for advanced integration solutions.
•  Research external platforms like CRM systems and AI/ML platforms, designing and implementing optimal connectivity approaches to drive innovation.

•  Conduct thorough testing of connectors and document your work to ensure high-quality, reliable solutions.

We’re looking for a teammate with:

•  3+ years of relevant technical experience.
•  Strong experience in Web APIs: REST, SOAP, GraphQL, oAuth, paging.
•  Experience in data formats such as JSON, XML, CSV, Parquet, etc.
•  Experience with Postman, SOAP UI.
•  Knowlege of RAML or Openapi specification.
•  Knowledge of common network protocols: HTTPS, FTP, SMTP, etc.
•  Experience with iPaaS platforms or ETL is a huge plus.
•  Coding/scripting background, preferably in PHP (or willingness to learn PHP).
•  Proficient in SQL queries and a good understanding of relational data models.
•  Knowledge of Qlik products (Qlik Sense, Qlik Talend Data Integration, ...) is a plus.
