The Software Engineer Go/Java/JS Role

Join Qlik's critical team at the forefront of developing industry-leading Analytics and Data Integration SaaS products as a Software Engineer Java/JS/Go.

Your foundational contributions will empower global R&D teams to deliver highly scalable, efficient, observable, and resilient micro-services, supporting mission-critical Data and Analytics use cases for thousands of high-profile customers worldwide. Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:

• Service Kits Development: Design, develop, and maintain Service Kits across various platforms (Go, Node.js, Java, and soon Python) to support the integration and use of our APIs and services.
• Collaborative Development: Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define requirements and features, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
• Code Quality and Documentation: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in required languages, ensure well-documented Service Kits, and implement automated tests for reliability and performance.
• Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback from internal and external developers to improve Service Kits continually, staying updated with new technologies, tools, and industry best practices.
• Community Engagement: Actively engage in building and nurturing an open-source-like community around our SDKs, organizing events, webinars, and forums to promote engagement and collaboration.

We’re looking for a teammate with:

• Proficiency in at least one of Go, Node.js, or Java. Familiarity with another from the list or Python is a plus.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP protocol, and web services.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in technical documentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.

• Preferred: Knowledge of software development best practices, design patterns, and building high availability systems.
• Preferred: Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes, Containers, Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud SaaS environments.
