We are on the lookout for a Data QA Engineer to join our Data Warehouse team in Sofia, Bulgaria. In this role you would be contributing to the team’s efforts in gathering and structuring all necessary data for various reports, dashboards and analyses used by the management to drive the Company and the business to success. Additionally, you will have the chance to use the leading market tools and technologies and collaborate with some of the greatest experts in the field.

As a Data QA Engineer your main responsibilities will involve:

• Validate the ETL results as well as the data warehouse completeness and integrity against business requirements and established data definitions
• Prepare SQL queries to test the data accuracy and quality
• Assure the quality of the production reports and the consistency of all metrics and definitions across them
• Participate in establishing the quality assurance processes
• Ensure that the tested functionality is well documented
• Translate business requirements into test scenarios and test cases
• Participate in the test automation of the reports and in the daily results analysis
• Schedule and prioritize work based on company initiatives and due dates
• Actively take initiative to find answers, consulting with the business and teammates to identify all facets of an issue and generate a solution

To be successful in this role you shall have:

• At least two years of experience in the QA field; focus on testing data and reports is a plus – data profiling, validation, reconciliation
• Experience with T-SQL or PL/SQL would be an added advantage
• Good understanding of QA process and methodologies - test planning, test cases, bug tracking systems and software development life cycle
• Good ability to prepare and maintain data source code and process documentation
• Strong analytical abilities and business processes orientation; experience with sales and marketing data would be considered a plus
• A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration or a related discipline
• Good written and spoken English skills
• Ability to work and think through problems independently and with a team
• Down-to-earth, creative, driven and friendly personality

 Nice-to-haves:

• Working knowledge of Tableau and Salesforce
• Good understanding of data warehouse architecture and ETL processes
