ABOUT THE ROLE
The VP of Finance is a key member of Arrise Live’s executive leadership team, responsible for shaping the organisation’s financial strategy, ensuring strong financial business support and governance, and enabling scalable and sustainable growth.
This role leads financial stewardship and ensures the business is positioned for long-term commercial success. Sound financial planning requires accurate financial reporting & cost transparency to ensure the leadership team are empowered to make the right capital allocation & business decisions. The role will also oversee international and cross-border financial operations as we expand into new global markets, ensuring governance, compliance, and commercial viability across jurisdictions.
The VP of Finance & Controlling provides advice and guidance to the CEO, Board, and executive team while overseeing financial planning, financial risk management, capital management, and robust finance operations. This is a role for a finance professional who is looking to make real impact: someone who is very hands on, enjoys operating close to the business, making judgement calls in fast-moving environments, and building foundations that last.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
1) Lead and develop the existing finance team and manage the external finance service providers.
2) Financial reporting & month-end close
  • Oversee the month-end close activities to deliver timely, accurate cost and performance reporting, ensuring completeness and accuracy of the final numbers.
  • Drive the month end reporting process, managing the production of the monthly management reporting packs (consolidated and location P&Ls, KPI reporting, cost centre performance, cost drivers, capex status, and variance commentary).
  • Act as the finance “single point of truth” for the business’s numbers.
3) Opex & capex governance
  • Ensure all opex and capex costs are correctly booked to the right cost centres, projects, studios, and GL accounts.
  • Own cost centre structures, project coding logic, and allocation rules within the accounting system.
  • Track capex spend vs approved budgets; ensure correct capitalisation, useful lives, and depreciation start dates in line with policy.
4) Cost control and operational partnering
  • Work closely with the various business teams to:
  • Identify cost drivers and variances.
  • Drive efficiency, identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Embed cost-conscious decision making through a robust monthly process of reporting and reviews.
  • Provide actionable insights, not just reporting—turn variances and observations into decisions and actions.
5) Performance management, KPIs, and BI collaboration
  • Define and maintain reports that links finance outcomes ( for example cost per table, direct and indirect costs, and profitability) with operational KPIs.
  • Partner with BI/Data teams to ensure all relevant KPIs are tracked and reported on in a robust, accurate and timely manner.
  • Translate operational drivers into financial impacts (unit economics, contribution margin, cost per table, cost per activity).
  • Support product mix optimisation and profitability improvement through scenario analysis and performance dashboards.
6) Budgeting, forecasting and planning
  • Lead the business’s annual budget process and rolling forecasts consolidated and by location / team for opex, capex, and key performance drivers.
  • Provide robust variance analysis identifying potential cost and productivity improvements through location and KPI comparisons and implementing planned actionable improvements.
  • Develop a detailed modelling process in partnership with key stakeholders to improve the understanding of the underlying costs and KPIs, which enables management to make informed decisions.
  • Lead the budgeting & forecasting for any new big studio & capex projects across various locations.
7) Controls, compliance, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and audit requirements.
  • Lead the annual stand alone and consolidated audit processes ensuring compliance with all required local regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvements in reporting automation, data quality, and process efficiency (e.g., standard templates, reduced manual journals).
8) Procurement
  • Overall responsibility for the Procurement department to ensure that all relevant suppliers are properly managed and costs are being controlled & optimised.
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU
  • Proven experience as a senior finance executive in high-growth digital businesses, technology, media, entertainment, or consumer industries.
  • Strong team leadership and management skills.
  • Experience leading business transformation initiatives, restructures, or large-scale organisational change.

  • Strong background in international or global financial management, including multi-currency reporting, cross-border tax, and regulatory compliance.
  • Extensive expertise in budgeting and expense tracking and management, financial modelling, accounting, corporate finance, risk, and governance.
  • Given the highly complex nature of this business, an incredible attention to detail is required.

  • Experience in international product and services procurement and governance.
