Role Overview:
The Head of Audio-Visual Research & Development is responsible for defining and executing the organization’s AV technology strategy, driving innovation across broadcast and media systems. This role leads the research, design, and implementation of advanced audio and video solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and evolving industry standards. 
  
The position plays a critical role in maintaining technological competitiveness by delivering scalable, production-ready solutions for live studio and broadcast environments, including emerging domains such as AI-driven media, real-time rendering, and immersive content. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and lead the long-term R&D roadmap for audio-visual technologies
  • Identify, evaluate, and integrate emerging technologies
  • Ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Oversee development of prototypes and pilot implementations
  • Evaluate codecs and transmission standard
  • Lead development of broadcast tools and workflows
  • Ensure integration with existing infrastructure
  • Lead and mentor technical teams
  • Define objectives and monitor performance
  • Manage vendor relationships and monitor trends

    Requirements:
    • 10–15 years in R&D/engineering roles
    • 5–10 years in leadership roles
    • Proven delivery of AV systems
    • Audio/video processing, streaming technologies
    • Familiarity with AI/ML in media
    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
