ABOUT THE ROLE
The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for the design, modeling, and documentation of electrical installations and systems, ensuring compliance with applicable norms, standards, and industry best practices. The role focuses on BIM-based electrical design, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and technical support throughout the project lifecycle, from design to installation.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Electrical Design & Modeling: Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of electrical systems and components using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Technical Design & Documentation: Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and comprehensive technical documentation for electrical installations.
- Analysis & Optimization: Perform simulations and technical analyses to validate performance, safety, efficiency, reliability, and compliance with applicable standards.
- BIM Coordination: Work within BIM processes and delivery standards (LOD, BEP, NWC clash detection) and coordinate electrical systems with other disciplines.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support during production, installation, and implementation phases.
- Standards & Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with relevant national and international standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry tools, technologies, and trends, and continuously improve design processes and outcomes.
- Additional Tasks: Perform any other tasks requested by the Company that fall within the employee’s area of expertise.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in a similar role or related position.
- Technical & Professional Skills:
• Advanced use of AutoCAD 2D and Revit (3D modeling, families, view templates, worksharing).
• Knowledge of electrical design for:
Interior and exterior lighting systems
Power outlets and power circuits
Electrical panels, protections, and selectivity
Low-current systems (CCTV, voice-data, etc.) – considered an advantage
• Knowledge of electrical equipment (UPS, generators, transformers, switchboards, busway).
• Knowledge of grounding and lightning protection systems.
• Understanding of BIM workflows and standards.
• Knowledge of applicable norms and standards: I7/2011–2023, P118/2018, NTE, IEC, SR EN, and optionally RETIE/NTC for international projects.
• Fluent English.
• PC literacy.
