Maintenance Fabricator
Description
🧰 Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal parts and structures based on technical drawings.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment.
- Operate manual and power tools, including welding equipment (MIG, TIG, arc welding).
- Diagnose mechanical issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to reduce equipment downtime.
- Follow safety protocols and operational procedures at all times.
- Keep accurate records of completed work and materials used.
🧠 Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques and metal cutting processes.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical blueprints.
- Attention to detail and precision in fabrication and repairs.
- Problem-solving skills for technical and mechanical challenges.
- Proficiency with measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
- Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy materials and tools.
- Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills.
- Flexibility to work in fast-paced or high-pressure environments.
🎓 Qualifications
- Technical education or certification in industrial mechanics, welding, or maintenance.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial fabrication or mechanical maintenance.
- Welding or industrial safety certifications are a plus.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts or travel for field assignments if needed.
