Position overview:
Optimas is currently searching for an experienced and energetic Supply Chain Process Leader – Shared Services. You will assist the nominated Supply Chain Teams in the US in ensuring accurate and timely PO placement and supplier acknowledgements, (including driving resolution of any issues preventing this), on time delivery to the customer and providing best in class service to our customers in a multi-location global distribution environment. Outstanding collaboration with suppliers, other members of supply chain, sourcing, sales and operations support teams is critical to achieving objectives. The role will report into Supply Chain Team Leader – Shared Services
  • This role will work for America’s team and working hours that will be India 3rd shift.            This role is work from office based in India.
Principal Activities:
· Supervise a team of Supply Chain Buyers in Shared Services
· Support Supply Chain Managers in US to meet inventory reduction and customer service level goals
· Maintain strong supplier relationships
· Meet and/or exceed service expectations and initiatives of the business
· Partner with Sourcing, Sales and Demand teams to ensure inventory requirements are aligned
· Adhere and perform to the Supply Chain Buyer Key Performance Indicators
Main responsibilities:
· Checking the accuracy of work undertaken by the team, ensuring the tracking and reporting will be covered for all parts from all the Supply Chain Support Planners in the team
· Acting as the first point of contact for escalation to the Supply Chain Team Managers in the US
· Attending and representing the team at cross functional meetings
· Continuous communication with suppliers via phone and email: initial order placement and acknowledgement, tracking, order discrepancies, invoice queries, quality issues and inbound freight management
· Responsible for all system transactions to execute purchasing transactions: order requirement,
· scheduling and placement
· Manage supplier order book, expediting and deferring orders to align with customer demand changes
· Utilized Daily, Weekly, and Monthly reporting to optimize inventory investment
· Communicate effectively with the Supply Chain team and other internal departments
· Communicate with suppliers as required to build and maintain a strong relationship to aid in resolving service, delivery, and other issues
· Meet or exceed Supply Chain Planner Key Performance Indicators
· Make critical decisions daily with the ability to develop root cause analysis
· Collaborate with Operations to meet urgent customer demand and orders
· Collaborate with Technical Service Department on Quality issues
· Collaborate with Supply Chain Analysts and Demand Planning to continuously improve forecast and order portfolios to the supplier
· Perform other duties as required
