Overview
The Nuvance Health Medical Practice Division of Pain Management has an excellent opportunity for a Pain Management Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our comprehensive Neurosciences Department in Poughkeepsie, NY.
Job Highlights
- Global management of patients with pain conditions
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with pain conditions, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments, incorporating pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies.
- Utilize various modalities for pain relief, including medication management, physical therapy referrals, interventional procedures, and complementary therapies.
- Educate patients and families about pain management options, coping strategies, and lifestyle modifications to improve quality of life.
- Schedule and conduct follow-up appointments to monitor treatment efficacy and adjust plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing with a focus on Nurse Practitioner studies/Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure and certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Pain Management, Family, or Adult) or NCCPA certification required
- Previous experience in pain management, palliative care, or a related field preferred
- New graduates will be considered and encouraged to apply

Salary Range: $105,000-$150,000 commensurate with years of experience.
