You will report to a Manager, who is committed to mentoring and guiding team members while promoting an open-door policy for communication and collaboration. The work setup at Nutanix is hybrid, allowing you to operate from home and in the office; you’ll be expected to come into the office 2-3 days a week to facilitate team collaboration and interaction. Additionally, there are no travel requirements for this role, enabling you to focus entirely on your contributions to the team without the need for regular trips away from home

 

Your Role
Build and operate next generation developer infrastructure and tooling for Nutanix,
focusing on developer experience, integration, reliability and scalability
● Manage Source code version control systems(GIT based) and tools (Defect tracking
system, Review tools, CI/CD pipelines, Deployments etc) around it
● Design and build tooling and infrastructure to help engineering teams measure and
increase their velocity
● Contribute to engineering efforts from design to implementation, solving complex
technical challenges around developer and engineering productivity and velocity
● Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services—from inception and design,
through to deployment, operation and refinement
● Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency
and overall system health
● Build and Manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, CircleCI or other CI/CD systems

 

What You Will Bring
2+ years of experience in development
● Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field required
● Experience with Developer tooling, Linux system administration
● Experience in one or more languages: C, C++, Java, Python or Javascript, ideally for
enterprise-quality software
● Experience with GIT (understanding of GITHub PR flow & Gerrit Patchset flow is a plus)
● Experience with building / managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, CircleCI or other
CI/CD systems
● Experience with deployment and orchestration technologies (such as Docker,
Kubernetes, Puppet, Chef, Salt, Ansible)
● Familiarity with standard IT security practices such as encryption, certificates and key
management
● Ability to debug and optimize code and to automate routine tasks

 

Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
