Member of Technical Staff 2

Engineering Bangalore, India Req.Num.: 32791

Hungry, Humble, Honest, with Heart.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a curious, hands-on DevSecOps Engineer who is excited about building the next generation of cloud and developer platforms through AI, automation, and engineering innovation.

This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys asking questions such as:

“Why are we doing this manually?”
“Can we automate this?”
“Can AI help us understand or operate this system better?”
“Is there a better open-source technology or engineering approach we should explore?”

You do not need to know every technology we use. We care deeply about strong engineering fundamentals, curiosity, experimentation, and your ability to learn quickly.

You will work across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, security, observability, and AI-assisted operations. You will have opportunities not only to operate platforms, but also to research new approaches, build prototypes, automate repetitive work, and turn successful ideas into production capabilities.

About the Team

Our team builds and operates platforms that enable engineering teams to deliver software securely, reliably, and efficiently.

We are evolving traditional DevOps toward a platform engineering and AI-assisted operations model. Our goal is to reduce repetitive operational work, improve developer experience, increase reliability and security, and use AI and automation wherever they can create meaningful engineering leverage.

We value engineers who are willing to experiment, challenge existing approaches constructively, share what they learn, and take ownership of making things better.

Your Role

As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will:

  • Build, improve, and automate CI/CD workflows for application and infrastructure delivery.

  • Work with cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes to deploy and operate scalable services.

  • Develop automation using Python, Go, Bash, APIs, Infrastructure as Code, and AI-assisted engineering tools.

  • Identify repetitive operational activities and convert them into reliable automation or self-service capabilities.

  • Explore how AI, LLMs, agents, and intelligent automation can improve troubleshooting, observability, incident response, infrastructure management, and developer productivity.

  • Participate in technical research and proof-of-concepts, evaluate emerging technologies and open-source projects, and present recommendations based on your findings.

  • Build and maintain infrastructure using tools such as Terraform and other Infrastructure-as-Code technologies.

  • Improve observability through metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and intelligent analysis of operational data.

  • Integrate security into software delivery through vulnerability scanning, dependency management, secrets management, policy enforcement, and secure engineering practices.

  • Troubleshoot production and platform issues and use those experiences to identify opportunities for permanent engineering improvements.

  • Contribute to platform documentation, architecture discussions, engineering standards, and reusable automation.

  • Collaborate with application, security, SRE, platform, and AI/ML engineering teams.

  • Continuously learn new technologies and share your experiments, findings, successes, and failures with the broader team.

What You Will Bring

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Approximately 2–6 years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, software engineering, or a related area.

  • Good understanding of Linux, networking, cloud infrastructure, containers, and software delivery fundamentals.

  • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Experience with Kubernetes and container technologies, or a strong demonstrated interest in developing deeper expertise in this area.

  • Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts and technologies.

  • Ability to write useful automation using Python, Go, Bash, or another programming/scripting language.

  • Understanding of source control and modern software development practices.

  • Basic understanding of application, infrastructure, container, or software supply-chain security.

  • Experience working with monitoring, logging, or observability technologies.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources. Workplace type may vary based on location and team requirements. Please speak with your recruiter for details. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
