The role at a glance:
 

We are looking for an Intermediate Interior Designer experienced in mixed-use and multifamily residential design. In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior designers to develop and implement interior design concepts that are both creatively innovative and technically proficient. The primary focus of the position will involve crafting residential design concepts and translating them into comprehensive interior design strategies, encompassing amenity spaces to unit development. 

In your new role, you will: 

  • Collaborate with senior designers to develop and implement design concepts and strategies for multifamily residential projects.
  • Participate in site visits, client meetings, and project presentations.
  • Create and present mood boards, material palettes, and design proposals.
  • Assist in the selection and specification of furniture, fixtures, finishes, and equipment (FF&E).
  • Prepare detailed drawings and specifications to communicate design intent to contractors and suppliers.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in multifamily residential design.
  • Contribute to project budgets and schedules by maintaining accurate project records.
  • Coordinate with project managers and other team members to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Assist in project installation and ensure that designs are executed according to the plan.

What you will need to succeed: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field.
  • 5+ years of interior design experience, with a focus on multifamily residential projects.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations related to residential unit planning.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of aesthetics and creativity.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently as needed.
  • A passion for interior design and a desire to stay updated on industry trends.
