Senior Software QA Engineer (Hammer) - Boston Seaport 

Nasuni is seeking an individual with a passion for analyzing complex software and creating test strategies that ensure the quality of our best-in-class storage products. This person will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex system integration testing environments while executing test cases and reporting results to Engineering management. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, self-motivated team player that is proficient in testing both software and hardware.


  • Help design, install, configure, and maintain hardware and software testing environments
  • Participate in all aspects of the system and regression test cycle
  • Design, execute and document detailed and thorough test plans and test cases to ensure product quality
  • Automation of test cases and assist in the development of an internal Python-based automation framework
  • Effectively isolate and analyze defects providing detailed steps and/or conditions for defect reproduction
  • Work with developers to understand all aspects of defect resolution and verification

Qualification & Requirements

  • 5+ years experience testing software: white & black box, functional, and system testing
  • 1-3+ years of professional hands-on experience at least in one scripting language
  • Knowledge and experience with software testing best practices and methodology
  • Experience developing/executing detailed test plans and analysis of results
  • Deep understanding of Linux
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Desired Skills

  • Understanding of file system concepts and protocols such as: networked filesystems, logical volumes, journaled filesystems, tiered storage, NFS, and CIFS
  • Strong Windows and Linux systems administration experience
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal - able to independently and clearly communicate issues with others
  • Experience with Python or similar high-level programming language is highly desirable
  • Prior enterprise-class storage product development experience a plus
  • Experience working in the escalation path for Customer Support
  • Previous experience working in a dynamic and fast paced environment
