What the Job Looks Like
In this role, you’ll own the delivery of capital infrastructure projects from planning through construction, working across internal teams, contractors, consultants, and regulatory partners. Day to day you’ll:
- Lead the full lifecycle of capital projects – from planning and design review through construction and closeout – ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within budget
- Manage a diverse portfolio of infrastructure work, including pipeline projects, treatment plant upgrades, and potential lead service line replacements
- Oversee external partners such as consulting engineers, contractors, and inspectors to ensure quality, compliance, and strong project execution
- Own project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts while contributing to long-term capital planning efforts
- Review engineering designs and technical documentation to ensure alignment with internal standards and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with asset management, operations, and leadership teams to prioritize projects and align resources with system needs
- Use project management tools, including Procore, to track progress, manage documentation, and communicate updates across stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
This role is well-suited for someone who can navigate complex projects, build strong relationships, and stay focused on outcomes. You bring:
- 5+ years of project management experience, ideally in infrastructure, construction, or engineering-related environments
- Experience managing projects with multiple external stakeholders such as contractors, consultants, regulators, or municipal partners
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset – you’re comfortable working with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
- The ability to manage budgets, schedules, and competing priorities across multiple projects at once
- Familiarity with project management tools or systems (experience with Procore is a plus)
An engineering degree or Professional Engineer (PE) license is helpful but not required. We’re open to candidates from adjacent industries who have managed complex, multi-phase projects and the ability to learn quickly.
