We're looking to hire a FLOATING APARTMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN in Topeka Kansas! This is a full-time permanent position. Required for this role: Local travel, drivers license, background check and drug screen.

In this role you will help our local Topeka apartment community maintenance teams with make readies, work orders, and grounds. Instead of working at the same community every day you'll get to plugged in at the community that needs the extra hand-Some might call you a hero for helping save the day! SCHEDULE:
M-F daytime hours 8AM-5PM with a guaranteed 40 hours a week (No weekends!)

PAY:
$23-25 an hour

What You'll Be Doing:    
  • Ensure all work orders are completed in a timely manner based on priority
  • Make Ready / Turning Units in between tenants
  • Painting/Staining both interior and exterior applications
  • Manage and adapt a preventative maintenance program
  • Exterior structural maintenance as needed
  • Managing coverage of a 24/7 emergency cell phone
  • Snow removal (when applicable)
  • Pool maintenance (where applicable)
  • Housing inspection experience preferred (not required)
The Experience We Like To See:    
  • 2+ years’ experience in maintenance or equivalent
  • 6+ months experience in apartment maintenance
  • Dry walling including painting and carpentry
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, sweeting copper pipe preferred
  • Basic knowledge of electrical including outlets, switches and light fixtures
  • Basic repair and/or diagnosis of appliances including refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers and garbage disposal
  • Preferred experience in HVAC and/or boiler system knowledge
  • Some knowledge of water heaters both electric and gas
  • Problem solving skills
  • Be able to provide great customer service to our residents
  • Have basic safety training or be willing to go through basic training within 30/days
