All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MaBSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.

Responsibilities
The selected candidate will assist the Division of Car Equipment with generating reports and records, interacting with senior management, as well as preparing and monitoring databases using Peoplesoft and Microsoft Office. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the review and approval of system-wide material forecasts; monitoring material usage vs. forecast usage for various shops; responding to revenue car social media correspondence; the contract management of Overhaul shops; performing Internal Control Review (ICR) Audits at DCE Maintenance Shops; preparing scopes of work & specifications for shop equipment purchases; performing visual inspections, technical direction and field support for equipment installation projects; coordinating work between NYCT field forces, shop forces, Capital Design & Construction & Procurement; communicating with various departments throughout NYCT to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner; reviewing estimates, invoices and material technical specifications to ensure they comply with project specification, as well as Procurement Requisitions for the purchase of heavy shop equipment. Responsibilities will also include, but are not limited to, conducting studies and analysis of transit operations including the analysis of operating systems; assisting in the collection of data, preparation of charts, graphs, drawings, and assisting in writing technical reports; handling employee training; monitoring monthly IOD reports, safety reports; TWU walk around and state compliance; emergency contact updates; auditing weekly time cards using the Automated Timekeeping System (ATS); payroll corrections; monitoring sick leave, vacation scheduling, and distributing employee paychecks/passes.
Education/Experience
Associate Transit Management Analyst
1. A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and two (2) years of full time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports. One year of experience must have been in the transportation industry; or
2. A bachelor's degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed above and three (3) years of full-time related experience, of which one (1) year must have been in the transportation industry; or
Assistant Transit Management Analyst: I - II.
1. A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and one (1) year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports; or
2. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in ‘1’ above; and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described in ‘1’ above.
Note: A master’s degree may be substituted for one year of experience as described herein
Qualified Skills
Strong written and verbal communication.
Knowledge of Windows software and applications.
Use of Micro station and Spotlight software to modify signal drawings.
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
Familiarity with OCE system.
