SUMMARY

The Business Development Associate (BDA) will have a focus on positioning Meridian IT solutions into whitespace accounts to build an opportunity pipeline. The BDA will prospect from a lead database and initiate conversations with key decision-makers. The most important means of interacting will be via telephone, email, and social media channels like LinkedIn to uncover interest and opportunities with prospects and clients. This individual must have a strong work ethic and be eager to be an integral part of a professional sales and service organization.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Telemarket for new sales opportunities via whitespace accounts along with designated Meridian IT named accounts
  • Make approximately 120 cold calls per day from lists, network, nurture existing contacts, and applicable resources to book appointments
  • Promote our entire product offerings but not limited to: Data Center Compute / Storage Solutions, Managed Services, Hosted Solutions, and Professional Services
  • Manage prospecting efforts within Salesforce.com including tasks, activities, opportunities, and campaigns
  • Use LinkedIn to personalize the reach out message to prospective clients and leverage connections for referral business
  • Perform Prospect validation via phone calls
  • Create prospect dossiers and present to the internal sales team
  • Develop an understanding of Meridian IT’s services and solutions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Salesforce.com experience a plus
  • Client-focused attitude

 

 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Good administrative, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, sales, and customer service skills.
  • The ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines
