Position Summary
The Cloud Sales Specialist focuses on supporting the sale of cloud and managed services into prospective accounts. This solution areas Azure and AWS cloud supported by Meridian’s services.  
  
This individual will work closely with our US-based Account Managers to not only nurture existing customer relationships but to also forge new ones by championing our public cloud solutions. A keen understanding of public cloud solutions, coupled with a relentless desire to identify and close opportunities is fundamental for this role.   
Duties and Responsibilities   
  • Internal Evangelist to aggressively drive messaging internally and externally to Meridian customers;
  • Pre-sales to accounts, understanding client needs, articulating the value proposition of Cloud and Managed Services, and supporting salespeople to close business;
  • Document requirements, establish cloud service options, and present the solutions to customers;
  • Engages Senior Cloud Solution Architect on complex opportunities to develop solutions;
  • Demonstrate cloud services to clients;
  • Work with Account Managers to support the deal flow from opportunity identification, proposal presentation, and deal closing;
  • Work with the Meridian Project Management Office to coordinate service deployment and support plans;
  • Participate in training programs and pass certification exams;
  • Keep all systems (CRM, expense reporting, calendar) up to date and complete at all times;
  • Develop and create sales proposals for direct sales activities to existing accounts, as well as prospective accounts;
  • Share any developed materials and documentation which can be used by others as references or templates in support of the practice overall;
  • Provide professional timely and accurate updates on activities, in relevant IT systems, and keep sales leaders well informed;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements   
  • Bachelor’s Degree;
  • Overall Experience: A minimum of 10 years;
  • 5+ years of working with Public Cloud solutions;
  • Knowledge of data backup, and disaster recovery a plus;
  • Proven Cloud and Services skills;
  • Multi-cloud experience - Microsoft Azure and/or AWS cloud services preferred;
  • Knowledge of cloud migration and modernization services, frameworks, and tools;
  • Awareness of cloud networking and cloud security best practices;
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills;
  • Excellent customer relationship management skills;
  • Excellent English language skills, especially technical and business vocabulary;
  • Ability to write professional, articulate and compelling proposals;
  • Excellent presentation skills;
  • Proven ability to solve problems;
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, and results oriented;
  • Must be proactive and able to work with minimal supervision;
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams;
  • Ability to work in pressure situations;
  • Occasional travel for training, client meetings and/or conferences.
