The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Administrator to join our Transfer Agency within the Fund Administration Team as part of our financial services business in Luxembourg.
As part of the global expansion of the Maples Group’s financial services offering, our Luxembourg office opened its doors in 2007. Located in Cloche d'Or, a commitment to service excellence and investment in our people quickly established Luxembourg as a regional hub where our 100+ teammates deliver the best-in-class solutions to clients worldwide alongside our Maples and Calder (legal services) colleagues
As part of our Luxembourg team, you will be reporting to the VP and you will be responsible for providing Transfer Agency (Investor Services) administrative duties to a portfolio of Private Equity and other Alternative funds. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
Key duties:
- Processing of investor transactions (subscriptions, capital calls, redemptions, distributions, etc.), as well as distributing contract notes and various related statements to investors;
- Assisting with the on-boarding process for new investors;
- Carrying out customer due diligence on investors and obtaining/reviewing FATCA and CRS documentation
- Responding to investor queries;
- Developing effective working relations with clients;
- Updating records at various systems;;
- Preparing distribution payments including input of wires in banking systems and sourcing of all required supporting documentation;
- Liaising with auditors to provide required information and responding to audit queries promptly;
- Dealing with general Transfer Agency (Investor Services) administrative tasks and liaising with other departments as required.
- Ad-hoc projects, including reporting, as required.
Requirements:
In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:
- University degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration
- 2 to 5 years of experience in Registrar and Transfer Agency (Investor Services), fund accounting, or corporate administration
- Relevant experience in a professional office environment within financial, banking or legal industry preferably in Luxembourg
- Knowledge of & understanding of KYC processes, risk-based assessment concepts, and FATCA/CRS reporting.
- Fluent in English. Any other European language, particularly French or German would be considered as an advantage.
- Demonstrate a strong ability to complete tasks in accordance with guidelines/instructions
- Be proficient in all MSOffice and Microsoft applications
- Must be able to work on his/her own initiative as well as part of a team
- Have excellent organisational and planning skills, with strong attention to detail
- Able to multi-task and excellent organisational, prioritisation and communication skills
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
