Position: Fork Truck Supervisor

Location: Port Coquitlam, BC

What You’ll Do:

• Coordinate forklift operator's tasks and schedule incoming deliveries for the Distribution Centre
• Provide lift truck resources to various sectors of the warehouse
• Ensure that each team member's certifications are up-to-date and valid
• Assist with loading outgoing orders
• Help with unloading incoming deliveries and orders
• Organize and manage your team of forklift operators
• Provide training, feedback, and coaching to new and existing employees as needed
• Promote a safe working environment through compliance and understanding of Health and Safety rules and regulations, along with company policies and procedures
• Commit to further advancing one’s warehouse knowledge (ex. equipment, procedures)
• Perform additional distribution duties as required
• Liaising with other department heads with machine operator requirements

Do you fit the part?

• Supervisory experience/strong leadership skills are considered an asset
• Must have a valid forklift certification that is up-to-date
• Capable of meeting department goals while measuring and meeting key performance indicators
• Experience working in a warehouse and operating fork trucks
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized
• Strong multitasking and delegating skills
• Must have strong communication and problem-solving skills when working individually, and with the team
• Ability to lift items up to 50lbs and knowledge of workplace safety procedures and the ability to adhere to the Lordco Occupational Health and Safety program
• Steel-toe shoes are required
