Location: Parksville, BC

Responsibilities:
  • Inspire your team to give our customers and stores the best possible experience every time they interact with the Parksville distribution centers.
  • Manage the Warehouse staff through your direct reports, including recruitment, coaching, supervision, scheduling, goal setting, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
  • Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures for the DC.
  • Ensure the layout is set up for efficient space utilization within the two buildings.
  • Foster, guide and support your Inbound team to ensure all received goods are clearly marked; bin located and the safeguard of the product within the 2 Parksville Warehouses.
  • Ensure that all daily cycle counts and the inventory adjustments are completed on a set schedule to maintain an accurate inventory.
  • Ensure all orders are picked, consolidated, packed and shipped accurately and in a timely manner to ensure we meet the daily delivery schedules for them.
  • Ensure Logistics team is given skid count with carton counts and accurate DIMs for each shipment. Ensure that no product leaves the DCs without proper paperwork.
  • Daily cleaning, organizing, and security of the facility and ensure that “to do lists” are prepared daily for the warehouse team.
  • Track Warehouse KPIs and submit a weekly and month end report to the Director of Distribution by the Friday following each month end.
  •  Promote safety within the workplace and adhere to all Worksafe and other government regulations. Ensure accident investigations are completed thoroughly and on time
Standards
  • Receive all items accurately and report discrepancies within two business days
  • Maintain a team average picking speed of 40 lines/hr or better
  • Keep overall inventory variance at 90% or better
  • Ensure Quick Pick / Special Orders are ready within 15 minutes of dropping
  • Achieve 97% on-time shipment for store orders
  • Maintain Receiving speed of 150 lines/hr or better
  • Maintain Put Away speed of 35 lines/hr or better
  • Ensure goods and returns are received properly within 1 business day
  • Maintain accurate daily MAM location updates
Goals and Objectives
  • Collaborate with DC Services to slot product to shelf level by August 31, 2026
  • Remove process waste to achieve 10% efficiency improvement by August 31, 2026
  • Develop leadership capabilities within your direct reports and their teams
  • Document SOPs and track departmental training to ensure full coverage of skill sets
  • Implement 5S tools, including shadow boards and clearly marked functional areas
  • Maintain ongoing compliance with WorkSafe and TDG regulations (accurate manifests, labelling, placards)
Ideal Qualifications
  • Degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of warehouse management experience
  • Strong expertise in warehouse operations, procedures, and best practices
  • Experience with RF scanners, conveyor systems, and automotive parts is an asset
Knowledge, Abilities & Skills
