We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Technical Program Manager with a strong background in leading technical projects and programs for data service teams. This role is crucial for driving key initiatives in data services, payment systems, and financial monitoring.

What you will be doing:

 

As a Technical Program Manager in our Data Services division, you will be a key figure in managing a portfolio of data-centric projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, and fostering collaboration across teams. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience, remaining engaged with technical aspects of projects rather than purely managing from a distance. You’ll play a vital role in understanding technical requirements, supporting effective execution, and helping the team maintain a well-managed backlog with steady progress. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex data services projects, ensuring adherence to time, cost, and quality standards.
  • Serve as the main liaison between the data services team and other departments, managing external requests and prioritizing resource allocation.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, and status reports.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating and resolving them promptly.
  • Facilitate communication, collaboration, and problem-solving across cross-functional teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the project management framework and data services operations.
  • Contribute to strategic planning for data initiatives, aligning project objectives with business goals.
  • Ensure that technical data requirements are met, and collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality outcomes.



Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Technical Program Manager, ideally with a focus on data-driven projects.
  • Hands-on experience in the technical aspects of initiatives, remaining actively involved in daily team operations.
  • Strong understanding of Priority services, payment systems, and financial monitoring systems.
  • Expertise in data management, database technologies, and software development life cycles.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Familiarity with data modeling, warehousing, and database management systems.
  • +3 years of experience with big data technologies and data processing frameworks like Snowflake and Spark.
  • + 2 years of experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and overseeing integration projects
  • +2 years of experience in monitoring the performance of data services and applications using tools such as New Relic or Datadog.
  • +3 years of experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker for data visualization and reporting.
  • Ability to read and understand code in languages like SQL and Python to engage with data engineers and analysts.
  • Familiarity with different phases of the Development Life Cycle (DLC), including planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies, Scrum, and Kanban for effective project management.
  • Knowledge of cloud services and architecture, AWS or GCP, and experience with data storage, computation, and analytics services.
  • Understanding of data security protocols, data encryption, and privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) affecting data management.
  • Basic understanding of machine learning models and AI applications, especially in data-driven decision-making and predictive analytics.
