Description
Primary Role: This position is responsible for moving the pools to and from production then shipping for final delivery. These employees start as “Rope Holders” assisting the crane operators, and training to become crane operators. The crane operator is designated a safety sensitive position and is subject to random drug testing. The employee may also be responsible for shipping/receiving from our vendors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Rope Holder:
- Properly load pools.
- Properly tie down and secure pool.
- Foam rib pool (prep for nesting of pools).
- Use the proper procedures for removing a pool shell from the mold to include proper procedures for rope holding.
- Inspect pool and accessories. Tile, chains, scratches and grinding.
- Understand the Latham quality standards for all delivered pools.
- Know pool models, size and map locations of our molds.
- Know basic operation of the crane.
- Other duties as assigned
Crane Operator:
- Receive on the job training from Certified Crane Operator until certified
- Properly manage loading personnel.
- Follow the delivery schedule.
- Keep production mold supply rolling.
- Know when to use outriggers with use of crane.
- Become a Certified Crane Operator.
- Read order form to sign off on QA inspection form.
- Verify all accessories are included with each load.
- Other duties as assigned
Material Handling:
- Receives and logs raw materials being shipped to the plant.
- Delivers packages to various departments.
- Responsible for maintaining the warehouse with incoming supplies.
- Assists with quarterly inventory.
- Pulls and prepares supplies for shipment.
- Assists purchasing with notification of materials needed.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma preferred
- Prefer 1 year of experience working with maintaining and tracking inventory
- Certified Crane operator and fork lift experience a plus

Physical requirements of the position include but are not limited to prolonged standing, frequent bending/reaching/stooping, overhead work and lifting up to forty (40) pounds.
Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, hard hat, gloves, and/or protective outerwear and safety shoes are required. Exposure to dust, odors/fumes, heat or cold (dependent upon weather conditions) and noise is typical.
