A little about the position:
Job Summary:
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will support the fiberglass manufacturing operation by integrating engineering expertise with digital systems, technical documentation, and process optimization. This role ensures that engineering prints, ERP data, production workflows, and quality standards are aligned, accurate, and continuously improved. The engineer acts as a bridge between design, production, quality, and IT/ERP teams to maintain efficient, compliant, and high‑quality fiberglass pool manufacturing. The engineer is expected to bring a strong interest in learning new tools, technologies, and processes, helping the company continuously evolve and innovate.
Some Of What You Will Do:
- Create, update, and revise 3D models and 2D drawings for fiberglass components, molds, assemblies, and production fixtures using SolidWorks
- Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to validate design changes before release.
- Apply SolidWorks best practices to improve clarity, manufacturability, and consistency of engineering documentation and manage engineering documentation through SolidWorks PDM vault, ensuring proper version control, workflow approvals, and secure file storage.
- Maintain engineering-related data in the ERP system, including BOMs, routings, material specifications, and revision updates.
- Use SolidWorks models and PDM data to support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Provide engineering support for fiberglass layup, molding, curing, trimming, and finishing processes.
- Assist engineering lab operations such as mechanical testing, fixture design, rheology, hand lay-up of composites, etc.
- Lead material usage/equipment usage (TFM) meetings with plant/production managers and resolve issues.
- Travel to train new processes and products at each manufacturing site (approximately 15% travel).
- Aid structural engineers in pool testing and manufacturing.
- Assist production teams by providing clear, accurate prints and technical instructions.
- Lead lean projects to reduce waste from production process, by using DMAIC process and perform plant audits.
- Work with manufacturing associates to promote and implement continuous improvement projects.
- Communicate engineering changes clearly and ensure proper implementation on the shop floor.
What You Bring to the Table: (Qualifications):
- B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, and Minimum of three (3+) years’ experience in manufacturing preferred or M.S Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with 2+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
Relevant hands-on lab experience or internships may be considered as experience. - Working knowledge of SolidWorks, PDM vault, ERP and Engineering Drawings
- Working knowledge on Glass fiber composites, Finite element analysis and Power BI is a plus
- Bring a proactive attitude toward learning from other departments and sharing knowledge across teams.
- Highly developed skills: problem-solving, tenacity, drive, creativity, planning and organization
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with a variety of systems
- Excellent presentation, written, verbal and communication skills with the ability to engage and influence employees and leaders at all levels of the organization
- 15% travel is required
- Excellent computer skills with experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio, and Project

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across US geographic markets. Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
Bonus: MIB-Tier 3 - 10% of base pay
