A little about the position:
Job Summary:
The scheduling position is responsible for initiating, developing and working with the site managers to schedule daily production in order to satisfy customer demand for components and finished products necessary to establish sequence and lead time of each production operation while meeting inventory and service objectives consistent with plant capacity and sales forecasts. This role will establish the daily/weekly schedule and be the linkage between the customer service team, account managers and the operations team to communicate the lead times and timing for customer shipments.
Some of What You Will Do:
- Schedule and optimize daily production to meet customer commitments based on order queue and communicated lead times. Adjusts as needed due to delays in raw materials, machine downtime, staffing, etc..
- Interact and establish rhythm with account managers/customer service to provide accurate deliver date management within expected service levels.
- Communicate with account managers, supply chain and operations on production and order delays.
- Understand capacity and throughput capability in alignment with order intake. Actively work to manage production capabilities in alignment with product forecasting.
- Works closely with Logistics on coordination of delivery to the customer. Manages shipping capability as a capacity limitation when planning lead times and throughput of order queue to customers.
- Works closely with buyer planner and inventory coordination on purchased materials and in-house produced parts. Establishes daily communication to understand inventory levels, stock outs and impact to scheduling.
- Optimizes department and machine capacity during scheduling process.
- Primary interface working with engineering, supply chain, operations, sales, finance for product priority and communication.
- Supports plant Inventory management process and cycle counting logic and execution.
- Schedules Outsourcing to meet customer demand and internal requirements to meet outsourcing production plan.
- Understand buyer/planner activities as required in order to ensure efficient stocking levels of raw material inventory.
- Set Stocking target levels (SS) based on usage and forward looking master schedule where applicable.
- Work closely with SIOP planners to have alignment on the schedule with the overall master schedule.
- Provide back up and support to buyer-planner activities.
- Lead improvement initiatives/projects, support site lean initiative.
- Support intra-plant transfers and inventory requirements to fulfill customer orders.
What You Bring to the Table: (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree desired; greater than 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with scheduling and MRP in ERP systems, eg. Oracle/IFS/SAP/etc…
- Experience in managing raw materials requirements in a fast paced, high-volume production/manufacturing environment.
- Experience with scheduling manufacturing in short lead time environments, MTC experience a plus.
- Experienced and very proficient with computers and programs, especially xcel. Ability to create complex spreadsheets and manage massive amounts of data into a simple output.
- Very strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Examples of multi-tasking and managing multiple levels of communication with suppliers, logistics partners, plants, and internal stakeholders.
- Highly analytical.
- Demonstrated agility, ability to multi-task and move from priority to priority with frequent changes in needs, requirements due to unexpected delays and events.
- Ability to make timely decisions while including appropriate people in decision-making process.

Salary Range: $63,000-$83.000
Incentive Plan: MIB Tier 3-10% of Base Pay
