Are you mechanically inclined and looking for a hands-on opportunity? Kal Tire is seeking Tire Retread Technicians to join our team at our re-manufacturing facility in Sparwood, BC. As a Tire Retread Technician, you’ll play a key role in extending the life of commercial tires through the retreading process, helping reduce waste and support our commitment to sustainability. You’ll be part of a close-knit production team that values precision, safety, and teamwork.
What to Expect in This Role: To help you decide if this role is the right fit, here’s what a typical day looks like:
· You’ll work in a manufacturing environment that can be warm, noisy, and fast-paced.
· You’ll be on your feet most of the day, using hand tools and machines to inspect, buff, and prepare tires for retreading.
· The work is repetitive but methodical, requiring patience and a strong attention to detail.
· You’ll be part of a supportive team that works together to meet daily production goals.
Training & Onboarding: We know the first few months are crucial, that’s why we provide:
· Paid training, covering wheel refinishing, shipping/receiving, and retread operations.
· A peer mentor to help you learn processes and adjust to the environment.
· Gradual skill progression, you’ll start with tire inspection and preparation before advancing to full retreading.
· Clear expectations and feedback at each stage of your training.
Pay & Benefits:
· Starting wage: $23.37/hr dependent on experience. We offer a clear path for career advancement with wage increases along the way.

Schedule & Work Environment:
-***12 hours shifts Schedule is 7 and 7 shifts straight nights or days
