Role Description

Reporting to the Store Manager, Kal Tire is hiring a versatile Assistant Store Manager in Golden, BC. You will be responsible for assisting the store manager in the day-to-day management of the store, fostering an environment that values teamwork, excellence, and customer satisfaction.

You will influence and mentor others to fit into a strong cultured team at this location, drawing upon your passion for outdoor activities to create camaraderie and shared interests among the team. As a front-line leader, you play a variety of roles in the store, from sales and service expert, to coach, administrator, manager, and more.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drives customer engagement by coaching the team to greet and proactively communicate with customers to improve their experience.
  • Arranges team member training and coach team members to reinforce learning objectives and outcomes.
  • Coaches store team members on standard operating procedures required for their role to ensure quality and safe and efficient work processes.
  • Works collaboratively with store manager to implement strategies, and plans and ensure supporting activities are completed to deliver expected outcomes.
  • Demonstrates personal accountability to safety and wellness and promotes a culture where store team members do the same; ensure health and safety information is up to date and communicated.
  • Participates in hiring, training and seasonal planning.

Job Requirements

  • You’ve got at least 1-3 year of experience in managerial/ supervisory roles (preferred)
  • You have a high school diploma/ GED equivalent and some management training. (preferred)
  • Proficiency with software, applications and other workplace technology
  • You have a valid driver’s license.
  • You like being active throughout your day and have no problem lifting 30-50 lb tires around as needed.

Special Requirements

  • Monday – Saturday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Full Time Permanent / 40 hours per week
