Are you mechanically inclined and looking for an opportunity in the manufacturing industry? Kal Tire is seeking Tire Retread Technicians to join our team at our new re-manufacturing facility 513058 – 2nd Line, Amaranth, ON on the outskirts of Orangeville. Training and your first 6 months will be based out of our Stanfield Road, Mississauga, ON location.  

Full-time permanent positions are available with Monday-Friday day shifts. No rotation required. 

As a Tire Retread Technician, you'll play a crucial role in our commitment to sustainability and customer satisfaction. You'll be part of a team dedicated to extending the life of tires through the retreading process, reducing waste, and minimizing the environmental impact of tire disposal.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Tire Preparation: Use hand tools to identify and prepare tires for repair, ensuring they meet quality standards.
  • Retreading Process: Train to follow established retreading procedures, including the application of new treads to worn tires.
  • Independent Work: Work independently in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Safety Focus: Maintain a safety mindset and adhere to all safety procedures to ensure a secure work environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Mechanical Aptitude: Previous mechanical experience or aptitude is preferred.
  • Safety Conscious: Ability to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols.
  • Proficiency in Remanufacturing: Ensure efficient utilization of resources and adhere to quality standards.
  • Physical Stamina: Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing physically demanding tasks.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Familiarity with basic computer operations for tracking and recording work progress.
  • Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working collaboratively in a high-performing team environment.
