Tire Retread Assistant
Description
Position Details:
- Shift: Afternoon shift starting, with flexible start times.
- Type: Full-time permanent positions available, with Monday to Friday schedule. No rotation required.
- Forklift Operation: Safely operate forklifts to transport materials and assist in the setup process.
- Tire Preparation: Learn to use hand tools to identify and prepare tires for retreading, ensuring they meet quality standards.
- Retreading Process: Receive training on the retreading procedures, including the application of new treads to worn tires.
- General Labour: Assist in various tasks throughout the facility, contributing to an efficient workflow.
- Safety Focus: Maintain a safety mindset and adhere to all safety procedures for a secure work environment.
- Meaningful Work: Play a part in extending the life of tires and contribute to environmental sustainability.

- Mechanical Aptitude: A willingness to learn; previous mechanical experience is a plus but not required.
- Safety Conscious: Ability to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols.
- Physical Stamina: Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing physically demanding tasks.
- Basic Computer Skills: Familiarity with basic computer operations for tracking and recording work progress.
- Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working in a high-performing team environment.
