Assistant Store Manager 
Kamloops, BC 

Role Description 

Reporting to the Store Manager, Kal Tire is hiring a versatile Junior Assistant Store Manager in Kamloops, BC. You will be responsible for assisting the store manager in the day-to-day management of the store, fostering an environment that values teamwork, excellence, and customer satisfaction.  

You will influence and mentor others to fit into a strong cultured team at this location, drawing upon your passion for outdoor activities to create camaraderie and shared interests among the team. As a front-line leader, you play a variety of roles in the store, from sales and service expert, to coach, administrator, manager, and more.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Interested in the automotive industry and like working within a high-energy, fast-paced team environment.
  • Managing administrative duties such as payables, cash reports, etc.
  • Implement and promote store-wide sales and promotions.
  • Work closely with the store manager and team members to achieve sales targets and operational goals.
  • Willingness to learn the business by working in the service area.

Job Requirements  

  • You’ve got at least 1-3 year of experience in managerial/ supervisory roles (preferred)
  • You have a high school diploma/ GED equivalent and some management training. (preferred)
  • Commercial tire experience back pad will be an asset.
  • You have a valid driver’s license.
  • You like being active throughout your day and have no problem lifting 30-50 lb tires around as needed.

Special Requirements 

  • Monday – Saturday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Full Time Permanent / 40 hours per week
