Education: B.E. Computer Science/IT degree (or any other engineering discipline)
Experience: 5+ years

Position Requirements:

• 5 + years administering multiple SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL databases and versions.
• Familiar with Linux Shell Scripting
• Advanced understanding of either Postgres, or MySQL and SQL Server"
• Advanced understanding of explain plan and SQL statement tuning.
• Expert understanding replication and configuration.
• Experience with mission critical, 24/7 production environments required.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field. 
  
  Nice to Have:
  - Experience in Virtual/Cloud infrastructure environment is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Administer SQL Server and MySQL or PostgreSQL databases
• Familiar with Linux Shell Scripting
• System level DBA functions including: New Configurations, and setting up replication.
• Manage database backups, upgrades and tuning.
• Analyze trends and work with development teams to develop a long-range plan designed to resolve problems and prevent them from recurrence.
• Refresh staging database environments with production data when requested.
• Follow department standards for documents and project management.
• Able to work extra/off hours as needs dictate.
