  • Provide strategic vision, leadership, and direction related to the Rapid Continuous Improvement / BPI processes throughout all HHT Business Units.
  • Create or Participate in and lead in the strategic direction of the HHT Business Units and manage policy deployment in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, member relations and visual controls.
  • Partner with the business unit leaders to develop strategic roadmaps focused on improving overall performance with particular emphasis on process and technology improvements.  Bring strategies and opportunities to the organization on how to leverage various technologies (Operational, Digital, AI, etc.) to drive improvement throughout a broad range of business functions.
  • Ability to act as a lead, member or coach within the Hoshin or Strategic Deployment process within HHT
  • Member development as it relates to continuous improvement tools and skills.
  • Drive discipline regarding shop floor organization and 6S cleanliness throughout HHT Operations. 
  • Keep team informed regarding current policies, procedures, and customer feedback and improvement opportunities.
  • Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships.
  • Interface with tooling, engineering, maintenance and production staff for design requirements and integration into production.
  • Provides leadership regarding employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training and development.
  • May set goals and measure performance of Indirect or Direct Reports.
  • Provides direction for production processes, systems and engineering focus.
  • Work cooperatively with all other team members of the plant to constantly improve departmental and overall plant operations and achieve manufacturing, RDC, and supply chain goals.     
  • Maintain open communications with all team members of the HHT
  • Must practice safety awareness (JSA, LOTO, Certified Safe Member, 5S practices)
  • Must be dependable and be relied upon to be at work.
  • Prepare and report out on process improvement metrics or projects to business unit stakeholders. Effectively communicates to internal and external groups, facilitating appropriate escalation.

  • Must be able to write, speak and present information effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Must be highly organized with the ability to perform multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to accurately interpret complex data and business information required (i.e. budgets, financial statements, P&L).
  • Manage in a manner that ensures improved long-range contribution by the department, profitability of the company and fairness and respect toward Members.
  • Ability to research or benchmark new methods, processes, and technologies that can be applied to HHT’s business.  Integrate new learnings into the business.
  • Manage timeline expectations and accountability
  • Motivate Members and provide leadership that establishes and maintains high Member morale. 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and drive a lean culture of continuous improvement. 
Education & Experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or a related field is preferred. May substitute five years equivalent experience in a progressive leadership role. 
Preferred Qualifications 
  • Expert level of understanding of Lean Principals
  • Intermediate level of understanding of various technology applications (Digital, Operational, AI, etc.)
  • An understanding of Matrix organizations
  • Ability to develop and execute a strategic vision
