JOB SUMMARY

This Director Revenue Cycle Integration is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and accessibility of the billing systems for all RC users, including internal and external vendor associates.  This department will manage the initial and ongoing system configuration to ensure accuracy in workflow processes, user access management for all system including onboarding and necessary system training as well as managing all technology system tickets to meet SLA to meet best in class billing process workflow.   The Director will build effective relationships with hospital partners as well as external vendors to ensure we are meeting best in class metrics.  

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or in lieu of degree, six (6) years of relevant work experience will be accepted in addition to the experience requirement required
  • Master’s degree in related field preferred
Work Experience
  • 6+ years of Healthcare Revenue Cycle experience required
  • 3+ years of progressive management experience required
Required Licenses/Certifications
  • Epic certification in revenue cycle preferred

  • Strong knowledge of revenue system technology and processes
  • Strong knowledge of process and understanding of practice management system
  • Ability to represent the Department in a professional manner when interacting with patients, guests, physicians and their staff

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred
  • Epic and/or eClinicalWorks experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • In collaboration with the senior leadership , this role is responsible for development, recommendations and execution revenue cycle stategies that support the organization’s strategic plan.
  • Responsible for the development of revenue cycle operating systems and an effective organizational structure in an effort to optimize service delivery and achievement of identified goals.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement opportunities for enhanced automation of revenue cycle operations through optimization of Epic and eCW functionality.
  • Implement and evaluate effectiveness of revenue cycle policies, practices, and procedures in effort to maximize customer focus, efficiency and effectiveness of revenue cycle departments.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to manager and other team members, incluing performance review, development, and coaching of team member; accountable for interviewing and selecting new team members.
  • Motivate, mentor, and direct subordinates to ensure that job accountabilities are established and met.
  • Provide recommendations for procedures to keep Days of Revenue in AR at acceptable levels. 
  • Prepare monthly accounts receivable data reporting and analytics.
  • Implement and monitor collecting procedures, minime contractual and bad debt write-offs, and maxime cash collections.
  • Establish and maintain proper internal control throughout the organization.
