Supply & Demand Planner
Description
What You’ll Do
- Takes the finalized customer demand planning forecast and rolls it into a category view and reconciles the business plan vs customer demand plan to finalize the overall business unit numbers that get approved by the Operations, Sales, Finance and Operations Teams.
- Leads and facilitate the monthly demand cycle reporting for the category/categories assigned with the Customer Demand Team.
- Develops strong communication and partnering links with Sales, Customer Demand partners, Supply Planning, and other parts of Supply Chain.
- When KPIs are not met, leads the root cause analysis process, and escalates the findings to the appropriate teams with recommendations for mitigation from the Business Units/Sales perspective.
- Ensures demand planning systems and tools, including master data are adequately maintained (Data cleanse).
- Validates decisions with replenishment and inventory levels managed through the effective operation of the monthly view.
- Ensures appropriate measures are taken to reduce/eliminate forecasting errors and processes are developed to minimize forecast volatility from the targets set by the business unit.
- Analyzes historical sales performance, assessing the impact of various sales and marketing plans such as new product introductions; price increases or decreases, product withdrawal, obsolescence, promotions, and incentives with the demand plan modified accordingly.
- Documents the forecasting process, maintains - including assumptions, and clearly identifies how the forecast is prepared, reviewed, and approved and who is involved.
- Conducts internal and external benchmarking to identify best practice initiatives and share the experiences with our UK Partners.
- Ensures the accuracy of data input from the portfolio team and the timely delivery to key stakeholders.
- Facilitates communications between demand and supply teams to avoid short supply/waste risk.
- Communicates forecasts to Supply teams through timely uploads to the systems and share potential forecasting risks.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in business management, planning, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience working in an Operations or Planning role, preferably in a demand planning function.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail
- Advanced mathematical and analytical skills.
- Power BI, Oracle, and strong Excel skills are required.
- Knowledge of demand management/forecasting tools.
