Planning Supervisor - 3rd shift

Description

The Fulfillment Planning Supervisor is responsible for managing the Processing Team’s day to day operations and goals. This includes preparation and processing of daily/weekly sales orders, appropriate labeling and shipment for all customers from our DCs. The role is critical to ensuring our customers receive their orders in full and on time. This Schedule Is (Th-Sun. 6am-4:30pm)

What You’ll Do 

  • Ensure accurate and timely waving of work to the FC
  • Oversee the scheduling of VAS activities planned to customer dates and FC capacity
  • Forecast daily output based on established run rates, partnering with Ops on capacity and priorities
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements leading to operational efficiencies; develop initiatives and work in partnership with other departments to implement changes.
  • Act as liaison between Sales and the Fulfillment Center to provide status of order readiness; manage and communicate priorities to Assembly staff to ensure timely flow of process.
  • Strive to resolve critical issues as they occur; escalate promptly if resolution not readily accessible.
  • Provide leadership through performance management, motivation, mentoring and coaching.
  • Facilitate employee engagement by communication of a clear vision of operations strategy, accomplished by establishing goals, deadlines and expectations

What You’ll Bring 

  • One to three years experience in a similar leadership role
  • Strong attention to detail is a must
  • Background in Fulfillment Planning or Master Scheduling
  • Ability to adapt to rapid changes in priorities
  • Working knowledge of distribution and warehouse management systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across functional groups
  • Flexibility to support a multi-shift operation
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including lookups, pivot tables, and charts
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency required to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Initiative to work with minimal instruction or direction
  • Possess strong organizational and problem solving skills

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; use hands to manipulate keyboard.
