Funko Hollywood is seeking a skilled Part-Time Asset Protection Agent for our location in Hollywood, CA. The Asset Protection Agent supports general operations throughout the Funko Retail store. This position is responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of assets, buildings, employees, customers, and all visitors. This position may provide support across HQ and the Retail store.
**MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK MONDAYS, TUESDAYS AND SATURDAYS**

- Monitor public areas for unusual activity and potential threats.
- Monitor security system cameras.
- Identify potential thieves from customers or staff.
- Follow and confront a potential person of interest who is suspected of shoplifting.
- Document theft and other violations of security, and what they observed on duty.
- Work with law enforcement to detain suspects of shoplifting or dishonest
- employees.
- Some Loss Prevention Officers with experience can develop their own security policies.
- In retail stores, loss prevention protects people, money, equipment, and merchandise.
- May work with undercover store detectives to prevent theft.
- Line Control inside and outside of the store.
- Monitor traffic flow in and out of the store and keeping daily counts
- Patrol the floor and report any suspicious behavior.
- Assist guests in the store with any questions they may have. If question is unknown, ask the question over the radio or look for a nearby sales associate for an answer.
- Patrol the floor and report any trash or clean ups that may be needed.
- Report any hazarders that may be caused for someone to hurt themselves with includes trip hazarders, wet floors etc.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Must-Have Superhero Gadgetry
- 1 or more years of prior security or military field experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of safety and security standards or loss prevention practices, and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail, observation, and recall skills
- Clear verbal and written communication skills required; Incident report writing preferred
- Maintain professionalism and composure when dealing with an unusual, difficult, or stressful situation
- Respond to situations in a timely manner and with a sense of urgency
- Able to maintain confidentiality regarding employee, and visitor incidents and security matters.
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance to meet company standards and represent the company positively
- Availability to work days, weekends, including holidays and special events. Including the possibility of working back to back shifts
- Ability to stand and patrol for extended periods of time while maintaining radio communication with staff.
Salary Information
The base salary range for this position is $17.91 - $18.70 an hour. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
